Day 1
We leave the Maritimes, our hotel for our first night near the Maine/MA
border.
Day 2
Travel across New Eng. States,overnight in Central Pa., our hotel has
huge gift shop.
Day 3
Through PA, overnight at a unique hotel in Archbold, Ohio, dinner
nearby in old barn.
Day 4
Journey through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa & overnight in the
unique Amana Colonie area.
Day 5
Iowa, Nebraska, visit Great Platte River Archway Monument, overnight in
Lexington.
Day 6
Past Denver, Castle Rocks, Colorado, to Canon City in the mountains for
2 nights.
Day 7
Today we'll enjoy scenic Train Ride- through Royal Gorge surrounded by
1000 ft towering granite cliffs,incline railroad,multimedia show
& Wapiti wildlife & bighorn sheep.
Day 8
Moab, Utah surrounded by red cliffs, 2 nights, cowboy supper,
entertainment.
Day 9
See eroded sandstone formations of arches, spires, pinnacles, Guided
tour of Arches, Canyonlands Nat. Pks, Dinner, Cruise Canyonlands by
night on the Colorado River.
Day 10
Big Rock Candy Mtn. Bryce Canyon tour with pillar shaped hoodoos
& Sunrise Point.
Day 11
See sculpted formations at Zion Nat. Park, stay in Las Vegas, Nevada 2
nights.
Day 12
Free day to explore Las Vegas with its neon lights, glamorous hotels
& casinos.
Day 13
California's, Mojave Desert, through farmlands of grapes, &
cattle country to Fresno.
Day 14
San Francisco, 2 nights, Guided tour, Golden Gate Bridge,Fishermans
Wharf & more!
Day 15
Free day to maybe explore China Town or ride on the famous bright
colored cable cars.
Day 16
Coastal drive to the famous Hearst Castle at San Simeon, Los Angeles,
for 2 nights.
Day 17
See Hollywood Sign, Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive,Warner
Bros.,TV taping.
Day 18
Mission San Juan Capistrano,Long Beach, Oceanside, San Diego, 2 nights.
Day 19
San Diego Zoo with moving sidewalks, tramways through the Rain Forest,
Panda Research, Tiger River and Sun Bear Forest areas, with time to go
to visit Tijuana, Mexico.
Day 20
Travel along California/Mexican border past Yuma,Phoenix,overnight
Prescott, Arizona.
Day 21
Flagstaff, see the magnificent Grand Canyon stopping at several
lookouts, overnight in Grand Canyon Village near south rim of Canyon
near many walking trails to the canyon rim.
Day 22
Navajo Res., with a local Navajo guide, see a traditional Hogan, local
crafts Monument Valley, the backdrop for many western movies and TV
commercials, see the Earth Spirit Show.
Day 23
Four Corners Monument, visit the Demonstration Center with authentic
homemade jewellery & crafts ,Aztec Ruins National Monument,the
restored Great Kiva,stay Santa Fe.
Day 24
International UFO Museum&Research Centre,Roswell,New
Mexico,Carlsbad, 2 nights.
Day 25
Carlsbad Caverns, largest underground chamber in North America-The Big
Room.
Day 26
Travel past irrigated fields, vegetables, cotton to Stock Yards area,
Fort Worth, Texas.
Day 27
Past the cities of Dallas, Texarkana,Little Rock to Forrest City,
Arkansas for overnight.
Day 28
Cross Mississippi,past Memphis, Nashville to Louisville, Ky &
Derby Dinner Theatre.
Day 29
Past Cincinnati, through Amish country of Ohio, overnight in the
Ashtabula area.
Day 30
Though Pennsylvania, overnight near Albany, NY next to Cracker Barrell
restaurant.
Day 31
Travel through Massachusetts, overnight & group farewell dinner
in Waterville, Me.
Day 32
Homeward bound with memories of this unforgettable California/Canyons
adventure.
