Day 1
We leave the maritimes for the south, travelling through Maine, with
our first overnight stop near the New Hampshire & Massachusetts
border.
Day 2
We travel through the New England States & Delaware to Maryland
where our hotel is next to the Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Day 3
Travelling though Maryland and Virginia we'll overnight in Lumberton,
NC tonight.
Day 4
Leaving North Carolina, we drive through South Carolina and Georgia, to
Daytona Beach Shores for our Ocean Front accommodations for four nights.
Day 5
Relax this morning, enjoying the ocean view from your balcony, or
walking on the white sandy beach. Later we will go to a local mall for
shopping with dinner later on.
Day 6
Mid morning, for those who wish, we'll visit Daytona USA for shopping
and a tram tour of this famous speedway. Relax at the hotel this
afternoon, then we'll go out to dinner.
Day 7
Enjoy a leisurely day, to do as you wish, enjoying the pools or the
sandy beach. For those who wish, we'll spend some time at Kennedy Space
Center this afternoon.
Day 8
A short drive brings us to the new Cypress Gardens area for the night.
A forty-five million dollar make over for this beautiful park has
resulted in new rides, concerts, ski show, Citrus Line Railroad, Wings
of Wonder Butterfly arboretum, restored Botanical Gardens with the
giant Banyon Tree, topiary trail, waterfalls and, of course, greetings
by Southern Belles.
Day 9
Travelling to the Gulf Coast we arrive in St. Pete's Beach for the next
five nights at our oceanfront resort where our comfortable rooms are
all poolside.
Day 10
We'll take a short drive to the popular and famous Wagon Wheel Flea
Market for lunch and shopping at one of over 1000 vendors booths there.
Day 11
Late morning we'll take a short drive north to Weeki Wachee Springs
Waterpark where we'll enjoy a wilderness boat ride and the underwater
mermaid show.
Day 12
All aboard for Busch Gardens where we'll see the famous Budweiser
Clydesdales, enjoy the many shows, take a safari train ride seeing the
wild animals of Africa, visit the colorful shops in the Egypt area
enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants on site.
Day 13
Enjoy a free day to walk the beach relax by the pool or browse in the
shops at the shopping complex just across the street from our hotel, or
take in a spring training game.
Day 14
We head north and leave Florida behind as we travel to our favorite
hotel with an open atrium, and attached to a shopping mall in
Brunswick, Georgia and stay for 2 nights.
Day 15
Enjoy a leisurely morning, then we'll enjoy a guided tour of Brunswick
with its tall oak trees and antebellum homes. Later we'll drive through
the marsh and cross the causeway to Jekyll Island, past famous 1800's
Millionaire Cottages of the richest families of that era.
Day 16
Leaving Georgia, we travel across South Carolina to Greensboro, NC for
the night.
Day 17
We travel through the Shenandoah Valley to overnight in Lancaster, PA.
Day 18
We drive north through Pennsylvania, into New York State to the Albany
area where our hotel is next to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant &
Old Country Store.
Day 19
We make a stop at a few of our favorite shopping venues on our way to
Waterville, Maine for a farewell group dinner.
Day 20
Home with memories of our Florida Sand & Sun vacation.
Included: All taxes,
transportation, accommodations, attractions as listed, baggage
handling, all breakfasts and 16 dinners.
