Day 2
We'll board the ferry this morning for a 6 hour crossing to the Island. On board enjoy entertainment or watch for whales in the Atlantic waters before landing in Port aux Basque. A short drive past Table Mountain brings us to the former airbase of Stephenville, for the night.

Day 3
We travel past Corner Brook, Pasadena, Deer Lake & Grand Falls to spend the next 2 nights in Gander. We'll check into our hotel, enjoy a meet 'n greet ceremony, then we'll be entertained by a local dinner theatre group.

Day 4
We'll take the road to the isles this morning to visit Twillingate on the Bay of Exploits, visit the Long Point Light House, Craft shop and IceBerg store. Ice Bergs are often seen here. Later back in Gander, we'll have a tour of the area, visiting the International Airport Lounge and the Silent Witness Memorial.

Day 5
We journey through Terra Nova National Park and arrive in the Capitol city of St. Johns for the next three nights. Enjoy an entertaining musical dinner theatre this evening.

Day 6
We have a guided tour of St. John's this morning seeing Quidi Vidi Village, Signal Hill and other sites. Later we'll visit Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America, home to Newfoundland's oldest lighthouse and the popular whale watching boardwalk.

Day 7
We'll enjoy the scenic Irish Loop drive on the Avalon Peninsula, past Bay Bulls, have lunch at a local bed & breakfast, and maybe some of the world's most southerly caribou herd, and go to a beach where whales are often seen just offshore.

Day 8
We travel to the Bonavista Peninsula where John Cabot landed with the Matthew, visiting the lighthouse, with a stop at the town of Trinity, one of the oldest settlements in Newfoundland and often was harassed by pirates, before we overnight in nearby Clarenville.

Day 9
Travelling west, we pass Grand Falls on our way to Gros Morne National Park where we'll spend 2 nights in Rocky Harbor on the shores of Bonne Bay. We'll visit the Visitors Center, watch the film showing the spectacular scenery of this area. We'll have a boat tour of the bay & the traditional Screech In Ceremony, and dinner at the hotel.

Day 10
This morning we'll drive north to Cow Head along the Long Range Mountains, seeing the roadside gardens along the way. Later we'll visit local craft shops, visit the Lobster Cove Lighthouse and enjoy an evening campfire 'on the beach'.
